So it looks like K-Var is going to be importing Krink pistols.... Gardner I'm expecting to see one done in the same style.

Nope. Not gonna touch a 5.56 AK especially an 8" one. (22Mag)
I will admit they look tits though.
Now a proper .30 cal KKV pistol and I will browse. But the fun with the Draco as it was a transformation to something a little different. |

this thread just dented my wallet, but I think it'll be worth it when I get my draco finished.

The mounting screws for the StormWerkz are 10-32 pitch. If you're attaching it to a Draco, use a #20 drill bit & a 10-32 tap. |

Correct bit is #21 or you can use a 5/32 in you needed. 5/32 is a tad undersize so be careful with the tap and yes the ACE stocks use 10/32 bolts. |

I wouldn't suggest a 5/32 on a draco just because the metal is sooooo strong on some of them. We almost broke a tap doing mine and we used the #21 bit. we probably would have broken a few taps if we would have used the 5/32 bit. |

I found the 2 trunnions I drilled to be pretty damn soft. If your not sure, by the drill bit, tap and screws all at the same time. The screws are about .40ea at ACE.

Mine was soft too, or at least softer than I imagined it would be. Probably why I had such good results with the #20 bit. I'd used that same bit to drill for the set screws on my compensator & thread adapter, which were no harder than the trunnion. |

My trunnion was also pretty easy to drill and tap. I used the 5/32 because the #21 didn't cut as well and the 5/32 I had was much better. That being said I walked the second hole and had it welded up and it made that spot INCREDIBLY hard. Still haven't got it threaded as a I need a hardened tap to cut those threads. Just using the bolt and nut method on that one at the moment. |

I've heard that some of them are pretty easy, but like I said, mine was pretty damn hard. I guess you could start with a #20 or 5/32 and drill it out to a #21 if you find it to be too hard.
