How do you adjust the gas setting on the RPD, reserch said keep on setting 2 for 1000-1500 rounds then go to setting 1 , but how is that done?

RPD's are notoriously overgassed.

Start at the lowest setting. That's probably all you'll need.

To change the setting, loosen the gasblock nut on the left side of the gun. Push it over to the right a little to clear the pin that looks like it might be a detent pin but it isn't. Rotate to the desired setting, push it back to the left, and tighten the nut.

when unscrewing it is it to the left or right?
