Classic Arms is the only place I know that's still listing them, no idea if they're in stock though.

From what I've heard, a local manufacturer around here is wanting to do a small production run of RPK's built on NDS receivers and Apex parts kits..
 .
Availability / build time is not yet known.. |

From what I've heard from the manufacturer, the price will be right at the $750 mark after shipping costs, but it will be well worth it.. The RPK's will be available in varying conditions such as duracoated (combat black) , "do-it-yourself" (you finish the metal as you see fit) , and "BFPU" (battlefield pickup / "been to hell and back"). Estimated availability is going to be around the first week of may.. Also I was told by the manufacturer that the very first RPK of this production run will be a "BFPU" style RPK with worn furniture and "Cristina" carved (by a soldier) on the lower handguard.. Estimated availability on this RPK is sometime between April 24 and May 1 .
I will keep you guys filled in as I have other details  ..

I managed to snag the last one from Centerfire before they ran out!
Finally got my RPK!!!
Should arrive mid week, and I will be picking it up next from my FFL. |

I can't believe I missed these again. This is twice I've looked at this thread (a couple of days ago) and missed the AES being in stock. I'd love to get one at a discount but I think I am just going to have to buy one from classic arms instead.

Classic Arms has them in stock, just ordered one last night. Lady on the phone said they had "a good amount." I believe they have the correct bipods, but I'm an RPK noob.

Look through the rear sight block to make sure all the barrel components are straight and not canted. My gas block and front sight are off to the right by the tiniest bit. Blast to shoot and I've had no problems so far besides the one mag I got with it would jam so I trashed it. Need to get a drum for it. I"d go with a Romanian leather sling. Does the standard AKM sling fit? Any opinions on drums? I think I'm leaning towards a top loader, just trying to determine if the Russian version is any better (beefier) or more reliable than the Romanian?
