And on third look I still like it, but still fully agree with other posters that bottom rail needs to be as long as top rail, on a Vepr it would be easy as you have no lower handguard cap to deal with, do that and drop the top down low enough to do co-witness with a micro-dot and you own the vepr market, i'd buy one for my x39 vepr. , make one for the integrated-front-sight vepr and you'd be the only game in town for that application, i'd buy one of those too, betcha a LOT of vepr 2 owners would.
ETA: That gap at the corners where the lower meets the receiver, looks bad. The MI unit does the same thing, don't know why this keeps getting ignored, but it's ugly. Some attention to detail please if i'm expected to pay a premium price. |

OD Green....please......

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. We've got some accessories rolling out before the other variations of this forearm. We'll update when it happens.

To pimp or not to pimp. That is the question!
No longer imported, you're looking at a rare '88 Chinese Poly Technologies Legend Series AK-47/S never fired. All original gear, milled receiver with blonde furniture... dare we pimp out this pristine beauty with our AK-47 Modular Forearm Assembly? Visit www.damageusa.com for more great products. |

do not pimp IMO. lol
Interested in how this rail would fit on the older Saiga's w/o the HG retainer? |

Don't pimp that rifle, get a different one and pimp that

Actually, will if fit an unconverted Saiga or will I still need a drop in retainer bracket for the lower handguard? Sorry if this question was already asked and answered. |
|

You will need the lower handguard retainer.

The only thing keeping me from getting one is the transition between the receiver and the handguard. Very abrupt and poorly designed imo. Hope that can be addressed in a V2.
|
|

Does this cowitness with a micro sight? Do all the rails come off also. If it were longer it would be the shiznit.

There is a slim fit handguard cover that will be available soon. It is bulged in the rear to fit over the front of the receiver. |

The top's too long or the bottom's too short, so it looks funky, add in the glaring bit of in-a-hurry-don't-give-a-hoot-about-huge-gap-make-a-band-aid-later-and-charge-extra-for-it , and well....why not just go back to the drawing board and have a good ol' do-over? re-do it and fix these issues and i'll buy at least two. |

We're already on it. We'll make sure you get the first two that come out the door.

I would buy one for my VEPR 54R. Not much out there for mine..
|
|
|
I would love to see this for a Yugo. Preferably with a longer lower section so that the lower section went as far forward as the gastube section. Also wondering, how do these allow a T-1 to co-witness with the stock sights?
|
|
|
If I'm not mistaken I saw a Vepr at the shotshow with your handguard on it. Do you have the Vepr version ready yet?

Damage -
Can we get some comparison data for Co-witness with your product? This thing is awesome in some many ways, but I need to know how it' co-witnesses. For example, on a SGL 21, a Ultimak is almost a perfect co-witness. A MI/US Palm is lower 1/3 - requires me to go to about 300yds on the rear sight to get a witness on Primary Arms for example. This is not as low as a Ultimak (which is ashamed - you should address this in future builds) but it may be able to co-witness - but it's hard to tell from the pictures. Can someone please address this - this is an important data point. |
|
|
I havent seen an update and I looked on your site - is this still available?
Thanks, Dynamik1 Editor, EDC Knife Reviews |

Do you guys have an ETA on the VEPR version?

How about one for Saiga 12 Shotgun

[/quote] Although it sounds improbable a patent could ultimately prevent one from having a rail at a certain height, I realize that they may want to avoid the litigating it. However, none of that explains why Damage won't answer the question about co-witnessing. I have asked it in this thread several times. Others have as well. Damage posts after those, but never answers the question. Dumb. it's their thread, touting the product. At least have the courtesy to answer the legitimate questions folks are asking about the product. Perhaps they would rather not address it hoping not to dissuade a buyer with the facts, which will only leave them with disappointed customers. |

Hi everyone. We are here and we are listening.
The above picture was photoshopped by user Bootjack and does not represent any current models or designs. We've talked at length about such a feature. As always, if enough demand is present, who knows what the future will bring. Regarding the optics & co-witnessing silence, it is because we will be announcing our own co-witness options & accessories in the near future. Those options will hit the market before other versions of the forearm come out. We appreciate your patience during the past few months of high volume sales. Our production is always running, though this demand has caused it to slow down a bit so that we don't run out of the parts necessary for AR-15 owners to continue building their awesome new rifles. |
