Looks good. Can the rail sections be mounted on the gas tube?

To Whomever upgraded my membership to Bronze:
Thank you very much. |
Yep! In-line with the gastube or barrel. Both right and left sides, too.
I am looking forward to the VEPR version- please post when it is available. Thanks.

A draco HG would be nice. Unless these fit the Draco already.
a solid looking response to MI's SS rail. I like that it uses the existing barrel parts, so nothing has to be cut off or removed. 1 Hard Brown anodized rail ordered!
I'm liking this, too. Does it work on an AMD-65?
We'll check on the AMD-65 and get back to you.
For clarity, the modular forearm assembly will fit a Saiga, that is to say the current model fits 5.56 and 7.62 Saiga rifles. .308 and shotgun Saiga forearms will be coming soon. |
The gas tube on an AMD65 is shorter than a standard AK, so it is unlikely it will fit.
On the AMD-65... the current version of our AK modular forearm assembly (for sale on our web store) won't fit an AMD-65, but we hear you, and we're going to release that version soon!

anxiously awaiting mine, I keep checking the status page for updates

I like it, looks very well done.
My only issue is that it looks like the bottom rail cannot be removed? I'm not a fan of lower rails on AK's personally, I think the clean look of a smooth metal bottom would be slick. |

My experience with the MI AK-SS is that, without some sort of heat shield, you'll need some panels on that lower rail so you can hold it comfortably after a few magazines. So, while I agree that the aesthetics are sometimes nicer without that rail, I think it is de facto going to be something you'll need on there. *shrugs*

Hopefully this means that it will not get hot enough to cook a steak on like MI's handguard does. |

Look good. Now make one for the Draco and VEPR and I can get one to fit my current guns!

Other variants coming soon!

Any ideas on price? Looks like something that I might be looking to get.
If you could make the lower part extend to the length of the upper, without cutting the handguard cap, you would definitely be a step up from the MI extended rail. Hint Hint |

Our near-future production plans revolve around the accessories/modularity of our rail. If any variations to length were to happen, it would be after the new year.

My question is this... How hot would the gas tube get and how well would a trijicon RMR handle said heat?

I'd like to see a setup similar to MI's optic specific upper hand guard... Especially an RMR one.

I believe that the Saiga does not have a lower handguard retainer. Will the DI unit work without it or will you need the retainer? |
How about the co-witness? How does this compare to the ultimak in that regard? As far as I know the Ultimak is as low as the come - lower than the US Palm / MI Setup... is this as low as the ultimak?
Will these work with a Arsenal 107CR? Thanks
Thanks for all the questions. More details will emerge soon enough. If the Arsenal 107CR is a standard length, standard barrel diameter AK, then yes.
I am not one much for rails on an AK but damn those look sweet as hell!
I don't see how it could get as hot as an Ultimak and the RMRs run fine on that.
How about a picture of the entire gun with the rail installed?
Is there any kind of ETA for a Vepr model?
What ? no OD green..
What about co-witness?
Is Aimpoint T1 on a low mount, or RMR/similar, the only option? |
Any plans for a Krink version?

What kind of buttstock setup is that? |
Vepr 12 next please!
I like it but the lower handguard needs to be longer. At least as long as the gas tube.
