Sweet.  Now the top half just needs an extended version that goes to the GB.

Awesome. I'm glad I held off on the other extended rail!  The integrated QD sling swivel attachments really make this shine!!!

Where is the bottom sling mount?  Front, back, middle?  Doubt I'd use it, but curious just the same.

AWESOME! Can "one" just buy the bottom half? I already have MI's 1st AK rail system.

Do you have to cut off the front sling swivel for the "X" like the other model?

Any chance you're ever going to offer an upper half that extends back over the dust cover (much like the Mako VFR-AK) for mounting optics over the dust cover?

Kinda like this:

You've got to be kidding.

I just said to my friend not a week ago "I wish MI made an SS series AK handguard".

I JUST ordered a new handguard set for my AK.

Why couldn't you have read my mind and sent me an email last week warning me not to purchase that new handguard set?

Will the whole thing heat up more during firing vs a normal plastic handguard with heat shield?

By "cap", do you mean the HG retainer?

The pic you posted above shows a lower HG retainer in place. Is that a bolt on?

I honestly hope that MI doesn't do ANYTHING like what Mako does.

My body credit card is ready. The extended rail looks great, only a few oz heavier than a stock Saiga handguard (might even be lighter without the top) and no more rail than you need. I'll be picking one up when they're released.

Hello,
Will there be a configuration so that I can install for example: a Primary Arms Micro-dot so it can co-witness with the iron sights?

Yhanks

Was it "wrong" of me to buy my first AK47 (Polish UF) last week just to try out this rail?

Now, I gotta save a few more pennys for afford the rail.

Any plans for a SS top piece too? This way users who prefer to run irons can have a slick top handguard w/o the rail? Just an idea. Good work guys!
