Larry Vickers teaches the AK

I love how he calls himself Mercenary Teacher, Infidel, Warrior and all that other non-sense. I am quite certain that he has not stepped foot in the middle east with an AK in hand.

After I am done working in Afghanistan training the Afghan Security Forces, I should go into the AK training market. I got a lot of several real good dude at my disposal with real life AK experience.

Better that that we are not Spetnatz pozers, wont jeopardize you safety, wont have another instructor shoot toward me, wont do combat rolls of other goofy flippy things and we dont have criminal records.

We will offer you nothing but quality training that is based on what really works, not what looks cool. Taught by guys that have actually been there and done that.

ETA: we now return you to your regularly scheduled AK30 Magazine discussion.

I think it pollutes the review process and creates an unfair perception good or bad. Why go to lets say 10 different sites and it is the same reviewers at each one? I would like to make judgments of reviews based on a larger sample pool.

If you did not order from there, you should not be reviewing from there. Only exception in my opinion would be if the system states if you actually bought the item from them. I know when I look at reviews on Newegg, com, it is intuitive enough to let me know if the reviewer had actually bought from them.

Hoot, I think you make a good point, but what about the 50 that did sell. I think it says something that none of them felt compelled to review their mags good bad or ugly. Sounds like they just said "meh" and moved on.

I have to agree with Hootbro about posting reviews on a site you didnt order it from,it could easily give the illusion of a shill or someone with an axe to grind.if i was researching an item and seen the same reviewer on several diff sites it would throw up a red flag IMHO

lets see...

a). Use battle tested bulgy circle 10's available for $24 at most places
b). Use higher priced inferior built "wannabe" AK mags

...hmm, i think i'll stick with A).

I skipped the horse$hit and went right to page 6 (so, i suppose i skimmed some of it).
I got mine. I like the metal lined feed lips––can't wait to see how they hold up. I like the looks and design and hope to report back that I've had no problems with either of the two I bought.
So far I only have about 90-120 through each mag, but no problems...I don't care to torture test them or any of my ten circle 10s, but we'll see. I'm cautiously optimistic that if there are any problems with the design, they will be fixed in future generations of the product.

I for one am glad US PALM (Tango Down?) came along and did something new for the AK––though the Magpul guys are a little too high-speed superfly technical for me, the company itself has put out some innovative product that I can appreciate; but they chose not to do anything for the AK people. Here's hoping US PALM steps up.

Skim better next time. They don't have metal lined feed lips.

Yep. I meant metal-lined mag locking tabs. The feed lips are what worry me (well, that and the bottom falling off). The lips appear to be thick and well made...I hope these early models will be revised in future iterations. US Palm could be more like Magpul and less like Tapco (though I hear Tapco makes some okay stuff for -insert gun model or part-). Am going to be putting another 150+ rounds through each mag this week.

My thoughts on this in comparison to the Pmag for the AR. For years had to get only the USGI mags with green followers etc for $20 a whack. Along comes the Pmag for $15 each with rugged reliability that was better than any metal mag out there and you can still use the stripper clips and cheap speed loader. Then they come out with the window in their mag and the price on the original drops even more. Hands down the best magazine out there for the AR (IMHO) Thing with the AK, steel magazines are way more reliable than the AR's USGI magazines. And can be bought from $10-30 depending on how hard you look. Polymer magazines, reliability still resemble that of old in which they were unreliable. Stripper clips and cheap metal speed loaders won't attach to the mag. If the US Palm had a warranty like the PMag, reliability of a pmag and PRICE of a pmag I would be all over a stack of them. But for $30 each I'm really hesitant, as some others have said I've been burned by U.S. magazine manufacturers before who made high standard claims.

1:09 into the video. You state the Draco is a Century build. Century imported them. They are Romarm Cugir Factory built in Romainia. I know it was a slip of the toung. However this could be how Internet rumors get started.

Good catch but if you watch with the annotations on I put that in there when I put the video up. Sometimes when I shoot these videos I mis-speak (it happens ) but I do annotate it. Some folks just have their youtube annotation settings to off though...
