Polish PKMKS (AKMS) with Norrell's Moly Resin finish (semi-gloss black)
UTG quad rail handguard
UTG OD rail covers
UTG OD vertical foregrip w/ extra batteries for light
Surefire G2 setup to be weapon light
CAA modular pistol grip w/ rubber inserts
Custom neoprene insulating covers for underfolder
Metal european magazines with US made floorplate (for compliance) and Wolf MC hollow points for defense
Smoke ProMag magazines loaded with Brown Bear FMJ for the range (not reliable enough for defense, but convenient on the range)

Nice setup man, i really like your choices.  Any problems folding it up with the vertical foregrip though?  Also, where did you find your UTG gear?

Thanks

Almost there. Placeholder. Not that I need one, just that I'm pretty excited. 2 years in the making. Ready to install the trigger group, problem is, it's in the wife's car. Which is at her work. I waited 2 years, what's another 5 hours right?

Well, it was more like 23 hours but, she's finished. I present to you, Broncia, protector of glory.

I still need to refinish the rifle. Not one of my main concerns right now. I actually like the well used look of the kit and wouldn't mind attempting to match the receiver to that. I have to thank profusely 2 members of this board, who without their help, this would still be a pipe dream. So, LonghunterCO and Will Man, another thank you to the both of you. A very brave thing meeting this miscreant and showing him the ropes. Also, dpmmn, a few phone calls to you helped immensely as well, thank you as well. LOL, I feel like this is an acceptance speech. I'm just thrilled that Broncia is finished and looks amazing.

This was my first day at the range.  Chest shots at 25 yards and Head shots at 50 yards.  I have not moved the front sight to the left yet but I need to go out and try it again.  I need to practice with those AK style sights that seem much more difficult then my AR.

At the time of this pic I only had the one 30 round Magazine and now I have 16 new ones including six 20 round mags,

Actually, unless you intend on using the AK to only scare intruders, I'd recommend moving the front sight to the right instead.

I had this one assembled by Blackwell Industries. Looked to be unfired-matching #s. 1980 manufacture.
I took it to the range yesterday for a function test. 120 rds. without a flaw. I will be ordering some GunKote to finish the receiver to match the original Polish finish
1 mm Arsenal USA rec.
FSE grip.
Tapco HTS and muzzle brake.
I copied the pic link for message boards. Sorry about the size.

Updated pic of my Polish underfolder. Added a US slant brake, then installed an original Polish grip. Also got a better looking upper handguard, my original was pretty rough. Shown with 20 round Hungarian mag, it fits it's little ACE case just fine with it in the weapon.

that's one of the most beautiful airsoft guns I've ever seen. Shame about the incorrect Izshmash markings on the receiver (looks like a G&P  aluminum receiver, compare the serial number: http://www.asgshop.pl/sklep/produkt.php?id=1472 ). That's excuseable, though. The only things that bother me here are the bad finish on the barrel, the cheap plastic grip (probably CYMA or Marui), and the dreadful screws in the lower stock tang.

A beautiful replica anyway, and a lovely set of genuine parts on it.

You know, if you're going with this modern stock, you should put the newer wz.96 Beryl handguards on it, too. It would look fantastic :)

like new 1983 polish underfolder kit.  ditched the underfolder, bought a polish rear trunion from shifty.  nds-1 receiver.  refinished a romy buttstock to match the polish handguards.  total investment of right around $650.  took it to the range today and it was smooth butter, very tight action, and accurate to boot.  the gun was built and finished in ak-black gunkote over park by salbo arms.

here it is alongside it's romanian cousin.  1979 excellent romanian kit.  nds-3 receiver.  romanian palmswell stockset refinished.  russian camel sling.  you can tell a difference between the nds-1 and nds-3.  this guns action was much looser.  and not quite as smooth.  however, it was almost as accurate as the pole.  right around $450 total investment.  built by salbo arms.

My first AK is a Polish kit underfolder, built on an Allied receiver, sold by Atlantic Firearms. I just got it today, and am very pleased with the way it looks. The parkerized finish looks very clean, the receiver is smooth and solid looking, and everything seems to fit well. It has the Tapco trigger, which feels OK dry-fired on a snap cap. Can't wait to take it out this weekend and put a few mags through it.

Sorry for the crappy pics...

In the words of Clark Griswold:

That it is, Edward.

the Polish soldier who was kind enough to let me take the pic offered some commentary when asked if he liked the Mini:

Originally coined by a very cool Polish soldier:
Ali Baba go splat.  From fifty meter, he cannot hit me!  But me with Mini Beryl––two, three hundred meter...SPLAT!
