THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I am seriously thinking about buying one of the Century-made tantals. One thing.....I HATE that wire-type buttstock. Since I have not see one up close, can that wire-type buttstock be removed easily? Is the rear trunnion made in a way that I could easily replace that ugly thing with a different type of buttstock?

I will appreciate any of you clueing me in about this. Oh, and if YOU like the wire-type buttstock, good for you and I am not trying to flame anyone here.

First, remove the grip. then you remove the screw and 2 pins. Then a convensional style stock can be added

Thanks. I can handle that. I think an ACE stock would look good on it.

Now to put an ACE on it would require a little more work, you have to chop off the rear tang in order for it to fit. But any traditional fixed stock for a stamped receiver will slip right on for example.

Yes, I know. Actually, I found a new American-made FSE Krinkov-type stock in my parts pile that I am going to put on it. No cutting of tang needed. Now, if it just does not keyhole with Silver Bear 60-grain ammo, I'll be GTG.

I have a "Y" serial number with a 1/8 twist with 4 groove US barrel that shoots russian surplus with no keyholes.
