Do the 1.6mm 7.62 Armory receivers get the same JNEWT approved rating the 1.0mm receivers get?

NO, people say there is no reason to have to grind down the parts for a 1.0mm kit to make them fit a 1.6mm receiver and there is no reason to need 1.6mm.

It's in the works, but to do a cold hammer forged barrel that's stress releived and hard chrome plated..........it's going to be a very expensive start up.

Most any barrel manufacturer could do button or cut rifled barrels right now, chrome plating is going to add to the cost.

Whoever is producing Armory USA recievers have them completely wrong. I wouldn't buy one. The rolled edge over the trunnions is incorrect, the X and Y patterns aren't wide enough, the dimples are to shallow, the 74 pattern sports a double hook cut out instead of a single hook, the trigger hump is missing, the re-enforcement plate is missing. Overall they look OK but honestly, people don't buy AK's just to save some money, they buy them to look correct and Armory USA, OOW, Euwbanks, are not correct. Only Nodak produces the right reciever.

I'm using my Armory receiver for a beater gun. I did notice the dimples being too shallow, and called them. Their smith told me that's OK (and I don't know enough to say yea or nay on that). My Saiga conversion has no dimples at all and I don't have any issues with magazines wobbling all over the place.

For my AKS-74U build, I decided to switch to a DCI receiver, after Ted Marshall recommended it. He said they generally don't have problems, while the Global Trades receivers often do (nothing that can't be fixed, but why bother if you don't have to).

Could anyone tell me if this is an Arsenal rifle. On my receiver it appears to be an ITM model Mk99 and on the other side of the receiver it says SSR-56.

You got some money??
There is only one US manufacturer of a Milled AK receiver.
That is Firing Line. They start out at $350 each. Hell I could buy ALOT of stamped receivers.
There are already plenty of built guns built on them.

The main reason these reviews were done was to compare known receivers with the NEW ones that were coming onto the market.

When I spoke with them over the phone last year, it was $350 for their underfolder model which has mixed reviews but I was told $750 for their fixed models. Which makes me wonder what kind of profit Atlantic can make off the complete rifles they sell. LOL
