Hi guys looking to buy a more reliable and better quality ak. I currently own a wasr. I have had only one misfire, I was bump firing which it was doing pretty well for like 20 rounds. I am looking at arsenal, the question is which is the best model in 7.62x39mm. I would appreciate any advice.

I am partial to my slr107-36. Bulgarian stamped side folder. I absolutely love this rifle, I would definitely suggest stamped over milled.

Little over 1k. The 107-36 comes with that arsenal made quad rail on the rifle. I have come to realize I do not need the quad rail, so I would suggest the slr 107fr. It is the exact same rifle except the fact that it comes with the standard ak103 type hand gaurds.

I love the SGL-21 series. I have two of them in addition to a WASR and a C39.

I own an SLR-107F and would recommend that model (SLR-107FR obviously, since the R model is more available now).

Also I agree with keeping the hand-guards 'standard' as opposed to having rails. IF you decide you want/need a rail for an optic/red-dot or even a flashlight, go with an UltiMAK gas-tube rail. Their are some pretty good off-set mounts you could use with just the gas-tube rail, while still keeping your rifle comfortable/light-weight.

I have an Arsenal SLR-101s that I absolutely love!

Sam 7-sf is a very nice rifle. As is the 107fr, 107cr, and 107ur... The middy 107cr is my favorite by far, handles better and looks too sexy.

Why stamped over Milled? I understand weight is a good reason but is there any other reason? I have a milled than happened to be milled so it accepts all stamped furniture, which is cheaper and more plentiful. But I want to know if there are more meaningful reasons to have a stamped.?

I would suggest a Century Arms NEW C39 V2 . First understand that Century has not been known for putting together and modifying the best looking or tightest AK's out there . Arsenal has dominated them in the fit and finish arena. HOWEvER! This New C39 V2 is a game changer. It is the best fit and finish of ANY AK AT ANY PRICE! I shit you not, it is incredible, very, very well done. It's also 100% American, not a parts kit put on a different receiver. These new C39 V2 's also have a high quality Green Mountain barrel. Furthermore these are billet milled receivers that have the SAME pattern cut as a Stamped, so it accepts all stamped furniture and add-owns. This is fantastic because there are a ton more products made for stamped AK's vs. milled. So you get the Quality fit and finish of milled, but the flexibility of stamped. You got to be sure it's the Version 2 , ( V2) best of all it's only $700 comes with 2 pmags and beautiful Black Walnut Furniture. In fact the furniture alone at IWD would cost you over $200. My first picture has furniture I just finished, not the factory, second pic has factory
Anyway, these are receiving outstanding reviews and they all say the same thing. Wow !

Why are you tagging a thread where you already threw the subject into the trash can?

I own three Arsenal's they are beautiful , but recently ,  as a project base I bought a Century RAS47 I have to say I was shocked at how nice a rifle it is at the price point. I would tell you have a close look the new all US made Century AK's RAS47 and C39 V2. before dumping the cash for the Arsenal.

Is Century actually having anything to do with the building of these C39's, or did they go the route they did when they sold the Polish 1960 model AK's, where they just sold the assembled guns?
