Just for fun I thought I'd snap a few images for future reference and post them. Maybe someone will find them interesting in the future.

Four muzzle brakes, a standard slant-brake, the Damage Industries offering, a Spikes Dynacomp, and an AK-74-styled brake. Last image is just a side-by-side comparison of the four brakes.

1. Slant_____________0.67 oz.
2. Critical Defense____2.23 oz.
4. DynaComp________2.72 oz.
3. AK74-style________5.34 oz.

Cool info.

Which do you like best?

I've not shot any of them yet as I just got my AK a few weeks ago. Considering looks only the Dynacomp catches my eye but that obviously says nothing of actual performance.

Maybe you should buy him one so he can test it.

Tapco brake doesn't deserve to be called 74 style, if you ask me. Acts as nothing but a counterweight.

I have a YHM Phantom on mine, I haven't shot with it yet, though
It stands out like a sore thumb and is begging for a coat of semi flat black.

My overall favorite is still the '74 style.

threaded the barrel on my 7.62 saiga and tried a slant comp, then installed a spikes dynacomp. noticeable difference in recoil without major noise increase. worth the money.
