By far and away, "The Grim Reaper" is the best AK book ever done.
It can still be found on Ebay, the gun auctions, and some book sellers. http://www.amazon.com/AK-47-Grim-Reaper-Frank-Iannamico/dp/0982391803/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1336769608&sr=1-1 Joe Poyer's book is a paper back and short, but has some good, basic info: http://www.amazon.com/AK-47-Kalashnikov-Rifles-Their-Variations/dp/1882391411/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1336769608&sr=1-2 Gun Digest Books publish a couple of large paper backs on the AK and on assault rifles in general. These can be found in most book stores or at the online books sellers. |

This is the book I have:
http://www.amazon.com/Small-arms-world-basic-manual/dp/0811715582/ref=pd_sim_sbs_b_3 I picked it up for $5 bucks a t gun show. It was printed in 1974 but the information in there is pretty cool. Covers a lot of guns, including the AK. I may also have some pdf files on my computer, let me check and get back to you. |
