I've always loved those tube stocked Valmets. I wanted one since I was a kid in the 70s. Nice collection.

Very nice ! collection.

interesting configuration on the Hadar rifle.

Did you turn your own barrel and what scope and mount is that ?

Thanks for sharing.

The Hadar II was built by Arizona Response Systems many years ago.  Picked it up from the original owner, I don't have a lot of details unfortunately.

Nimrod scope.

LOOKS GOOD!

Wondering if that is a factory scope mount. Is it centered over the barrel or offset to the left a bit ?

Thanks Mike

Not sure if it is a true IMI mount.  Centered over the bore, there are no markings.  It is very heavy duty; seems legit.

I would agree it looks legit.

some pictures I've collected for reference.

The Galatz had gone through a few changes over the years. The older models had the scope offset to the left and retained the standard sights as well.

If you like old, pre-ban stuff, be sure to check out my Beretta BM-62 thread:

I like lever action rifles as well.

Chinese Marines? They use the Galatz, or a copy thereof?

I have an original IMI Galil AR (non-bipod model) and would love to find a scope mount for it. It has the cut-out for the scope mount on the left side but is nothing like the Russian style. Any idea where I can find one?

I have one of these on my Action Arms import.  Also one on my ARM clone

It's from Blackthorne, who has a spotty reputation.  However, these seem to work okay.

The charging handle is in close proximity to the mount when mounted, though.

I went with a traditional style ak charging handle, so it's not an issue.

Not my pic

Again, not my pic, but works best with charging handle set ups like this. (which as a southpaw, I prefer)
