I have sourced all the parts for a .308 Valmet Hunter to M76 conversion, it's mostly parts swap/bolt on stuff. Being a carpenter I'll fab up my own wood stock.

So my question for anybody listening would be: If I want to add a side mounting plate could somebody recommend me a style/make/manufacturer ? I was thinking of using a Kobra red dot or a 8x42 POSP. It this point I'm assuming the POSP will clear the M76 iron sights.
