Hello,

One of me mates is having a problem with his Century Galil. It keeps shooting to the left and will not zero to the right no matter what we have tried. The sights have been adjusted every way possible, the ammo has been rotated through all different makes and lots. Someone said through the pipeline that the barrel might not be screwed in all the way when the rifle was put together. Any thoughts or experiences with this?

A bent barrel? Cross threaded into the receiver? The sights might have a cant to one side or the other? Receiver warped?
Endless possibilities.

i'll guess either the barrel is bent or the threads in the trunnion are out of wack.
i've seen a few like that already.

Check the flash-hider attachment as well. I had an AR that had a compensator on it and the rifle wouldn't zero no matter what, eventually found out the bullets were hitting the comp and being deflected. I switched the comp to a standard A2 FH with a larger opening and the rifle straightened right up.

I had the same problem with my Golani (I would hesitate calling it a Galil) and Jeff determined that the receiver front was not bored straight in for the barrel, the hole for the barrel was bored slightly askew. In the end I spent well over $1200 on the gun, go it fixed, but it broke my spirit, so I sold it and bought a real Galil and couldn't be happier. Good luck!
