Hello everybody,
I just picked up my Century m70ab2 from the dealer today.  The only complaint is the hole in the sight block locking the break in place is loose allowing the break to unscrew easily, otherwise very nice.  I think I will change out the black synthetic with wood, just love the wood look on an ak.

The wood on the M76 needs tung oil in a bad way, it's dry as a bone.  It's next on my list of things to do.

The M64 is Matt's work, the M70 is a Wise Lite build purchased directly from Wise Lite.  I've only had the M70 for a couple of days, it's a Christmas present to myself.  The M64 is straight-up BFPU, the M70 is as delivered from Wise Lite.

Jeff at APEX picked this kit out for me a long time ago knowing how I like guns with some "history".
Tony at Wise Lite Arms had our guys manufacture my kit into a milled semi-auto M64 using one of our repair sections and scope mount plates.
After I took these images I bought a "vet bring back" M76 scope and now have it mounted.
I really like the way this AK came out!

Saker, how well do those MI fit on your M70 and did you have to order a specific model of rail to go on there? Thanks for the info and pictures.

I like the roughed up surplus look. But it is nice to have an extra set of nice handguards to dress up the rifle also.

Big +1.  Keep the surplus handguards, they give the rifle some character.

I want at least one M70 with nice looking handguards; I already have another one with raggedy handguards. I opted to keep those because I thought it gave the rifle character, but seeing other people's rifles with new wood kinda makes me jealous. Here's the second one for reference, they're really dark brown and very oily to the touch:

That one's missing the pistol grip ferrule as well. Every parts kit I've ever got from apexgunparts has been missing the handguard ferrule and the pistol grip ferrule. I sourced new handguard ferrules, but can't find the PG ferrules anywhere.

You might already know this, but Apex will sell you the PG with the ferrule here.

I don't like the pistol grip, but it came like that when I bought it.  Ran into some cash trouble and was considering selling it, which is why I took this particular image.  I'm holding on to it though, and definitely need some better pics one of these days
