I just bought one yesterday at funshow. It's on a D.C.I. receiver and put together by Century. Has a few monkey marks, as usual for Century assemblers. 1st. AK...Pleased so far but have not been to range yet.

Why wouldn't you shoot it? Pardon me for being a newb but what is the difference between this rifle and the one I am going to buy?

A friend of mine is wanting to sell his AK. It is a century arms yugoslavian M70b2 with fold under stock. It has a Tapco trigger, the bolt is stainless, and he put new recoil buffer and new pistol grip on it. He bought it from local store, same place I bought my first AR. It comes with 7 mags also. He paid $550 plus upgrades and mags. He is asking $400. Said he only has 20 rounds through it. I saw it a few months ago and it is immaculate. I completely trust this guy and have known him for ages. He is selling it to buy a new shotgun barrel and 5.56 ammo. I don't know dick about AK's except that I have been thinking about buying one.

Thanks

You're quoting a post that is 2.5 years old. I assume that Yugo UFs were not quite as common as they are today.

And if you can get one with 7 mags for $400 you should jump on it. Like, get up right now and go give him the money before he realizes his mistake.

No, no...just send me his name and number. It is a terrible deal, but I want one so badly, I would be willing to buy it from him if it is in good shape.

Kidding, you should jump on it immediately - if you don't want it, do send me the info because it is a good deal. Enjoy!

Is that light mounted on the bayonnet lug?
if so Where can i get that light mount?

Would be nice to not have put on one of those clamps that mounts to the barrel.

That's probably a .223 weapon. Not the M70Ab2.

It's a Serbian (Yugo) M90A. It's a 5.56x45mm AK.

i know this thread hasn't been commented much lately but i have to ask.....

i got a Yugo M70AB2 but it wasn't imported from Century Arms, it was imported by Global Machine and Tool. I think its based in Texas. does this make my gun or desirable or less desirable? or does it even matter who its imported by?

im just curious,

As far as Century Yugos are concerned, Century is neither an importer nor builder. They contract the builds out here in the states and play the role of distributor.

My M70AB2 has a Global (Rhome, TX) receiver, yet it is a Century rifle even though you will not find Century's name anywhere on it. If your serial number reads AB2 XXXXX, it is a Century rifle as well.
