Had to move my front sight post almost all the way to the left to get a good group. Is this because of the odd cheek weld with a folding stock.....or is it the XS front sight post I put on to it???

Sounds like a canted front sight block to me.

If it shot ok before you put the X/S sight on it then I'd say the X/S sight is the culprit.  If not then it is probably as mentioned above.
