Since I haven't fired it yet, I cannot say whether the wood stock will work for me or not. However simply shouldering it seems to be comfortable enough. However, I am considering going with an Ace Skeleton or some other aftermarket stock. Here are my considerations:
1. I shoot lefthanded. The new stock would need to be justified either dead center or to the left to avoid the stock pressing into my cheek too much. I do not know that this would be a problem, but it was with the stock folder on my VZ.
2. I want to be able to use the optic rail on the side of the receiver without interference with the folder.
3. If I fold to the right to avoid the optic rail, it cannot hinder the action.
4. I like the reach of the wood stock, so I want that same size in the new one.
Anyone have any advice for me? I don't have to go with the ACE if there is something that would better suit my needs, but I like that look. Do not recommend the FAB defense stuff, I don't like any of it for what i want to do with this rifle.
