Anyone here have one of the surplus Yugo slings from APEX Gun Parts?  I just bought one a few days ago and when I received it I was surprised that it was MUCH shorter than I would have expected it to be.  I like to be able to shoot with my head and left arm through the sling, using my left arm to brace against the sling for more control.  With the sling I received it is impossible to get my head and arm through the sling and bring the rifle up to a firing position.  I'm not a large guy, so my fitment issues are not because I need to loose a few pounds!  It might be noteable that I have this mounted on an M70AB2.  I did not measure the total length of the sling, but I have seen belts that were almost as long.....  Just wondering if this was the common size or if I might have gotten a shortened one?

You might have inadvertently been provided one of the rare Moldovan Midget Brigade (MMB) of the JNA versions of those slings.

To give you an idea on length, here is a correct Yugo sling on my M70B1:

Looks just like mine.  I guess socialists keep it old school and only use the sling for stowing the rifle.  Thanks Liquidmetal.
