Shoot it. You will be dead and gone before it sees any significant increase in value. If you were my grandfather and passed it on to me in that condition, I would clean it and shoot the ever-living crap out of it.

I dont know man. Honestly if you wanted an SKS to shoot you could have one for cheaper than that. Other than the Yugos, I havn't seen any SKSs in cosmoline. If it were mine I would put it away. Look at the other oddball Norincos out there that are selling for $500-$600. Yours will be valuable in my opinion.
