I was working in a small town in rural Alabama and stumbled into a guys shop that carried all kinds of guns in a place you would never expect to see this kind of stuff. As far as any left, I got his last 2. He is out and has not purchased any since 1992. He had 5 and sold all of them in less than a week. He said this was the pick of the litter but the other one I got was pretty nice to. Said he was collecting them and was thinning out his collection as he is 80 now and needs the money for retirement. He showed me his collection of all types, these were all I could afford of what he has. He has 10 3 barrel shotguns, Side by side with a rifle barrel under the shot barrels. Made in 1936 in Nazi Germany, has the Eagle/Swastika in them. They are in mint condition and never been shot. Dozens of Walther PPK made in the 30's, early 40's and some are the type Hitler presented to his party members. This guy has all kinds of stuff, showed me a pistol/rifle that breaks down and stores in the stock. He has a mint in guns. Wish I had some money to spend with him. |

Great looking carbine. If you don't mind me asking, what did you give for her? Also, was he selling the rest of his collection?

A keeper for sure!
Looks like a later commercial rifle with an exceptional finish. Does it have a smooth trigger. Just saying cause I notice the poly usa . Who is the importer? |

I actually got his last 2. He said he bought 5 in the early 90's and locked them away. He has one heck of a gun collection but he said he would not sell any of them right now. I got this one from him 1st Chinese SKS and went back and got the other on 2 days later. |

Poly USA is all that is there. I don't know about the trigger, I really bought this one the keep just as is and have made sure everything is protected, slid it in a storage sock and locked it box & all in the safe. Should get a nice price in a few years for it, if not I have a great back up if my Yugo or other Chinese ever fails. The other Chinese I got from him has a great trigger, very smooth and it's a great shooter. |
