Are all of the slr-104's good to go in regards to barrel twist? Or are there specific models that end up not working? I'm possibly going to purchase a used one to save some cash and do the job myself. I always enjoy taking on new task but have never done a barrel cut.

I converted a saiga 12 last year pretty decent and I enjoyed the challenge.

I'm not sure if anyone's stamp has come back yet. At least I haven't seen a review yet of what one of these cut down will do. I say go for it. You'll be hard pressed to find a factory "krink" ever again I'm thinking.

Thanks for the reply. I see several used ones being sold that haven't been converted for less than K-Var originally released them at at the end of last year. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to purchase one I couldn't cut down because if thats the case I reather get one with the full length gas system.

Two guys have posted about chopping theirs and having no issues.

My stamp should be back in about a month.. I'm gonna do it myself.  I'll just cut it down to 10 inches or so first.. see how it works out.  If good, I'll cut it down to 8 inch.. if not I probably messed up and I'll send it to a pro to take it down to 8 inches for me..haha
