I recently bought a Yugo M92 virgin parts kit that I plan on SBR'ing (will be my first SBR ), and I'm trying to decide what to do with it.
I really like the side folder stocks on the Tula Krinks, and was thinking of building mine with a side folder. But, I also like the idea of keeping it in its original configuration, so I'm not sure which way I want to go. Does anyone have any Yugo Krinks with a side folder? If so, I would love to see some pics to help me decide. Thanks! |

I have both. I prefer the side folder. It is more solid. More bulky width wise, but I don't mind it.

The ak100 side folder is the most solid stable light weight folder I have ever seen. I think most go for the triangle folder for the look. However
I find the poly is as solid as and as good of cheek weld as a fixed. Only better balanced on a SBR. |

I have a "correct" M92 under-folder, but if I were going to do a side-folder M92, I would go all out and get a black handguard set as well.

AEnemaBay which one do you like better. Personaly I would grab the M92 10 times out of 10 in a SHTF, Survival, traveling, homestead defense, I know the MP5 is a different breed all together. However? Which one is more practical in your eyes, and Why?

The MP5 is fun as shit, especially with a registered sear, but it obviously lacks power. Given that they're both the same size (without muzzle devices) it simply would make more sense to take the M92. |

You'd be better off getting the pistol and adding whichever stock you like most. The pistols already come with an underfolder trunnion (blank) installed. |

Do not belive anything you read on the webber net. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y143/AEnemaBay/Avtomat%20Kalashnikova/Yugoslavia/M92%20Virgin%20Build/IMG_4883Large.jpg View Quote The reasoning was because the M92 front trunnion isn't made to standard spec (much like Chinese front trunnions). So the thought was you had to use a trunnion that that style of stock was designed for. Then a few people found out that you could make it work by modifying the trunnion to allow the stock latch to fit. Now this was before all of these factory built Yugo's came around, so we didn't have to worry about relocating the latch due to the barrel trunnion already being installed in the receiver. This wasn't really done prior to the huge influx of M92 kits because those kits were fairly hard to come by, so people built them into factory spec rifles. It was only after all those new kits came in for super cheap that people started REALLY experimenting with them. Then the M92 PAP's came in. And now Ultimak is making M92 specific rails when I had to cut mine down. Those bastards. |

A Welder, a Template, a Drill Press, a Drimel, good Flat File, a set Calipers, Some big balls. your basic gun smithing ability. Its an AK 100 folder sold from Kvar or Ak builder.com.

Did you have to square off the receiver for this trunnion install or does it still have the factory slant to it? hard to tell from pics. Also, is this stock surplus or the copy that AKBuilder offers?
Thanks. View Quote |

It's a real M92, original factory Yugo barrel, etc. |
