I think most of us know that the term “Krinkov” or “Krink” is not the proper name of any specific model of AK, and from what I understand, it is not used anywhere else in the world, even as an improper nickname. So if the name isn’t proper or specific, what all do you consider qualifying to be called a Krink? Do you think the name only applies to specific models, or to anything that fits the general style? Does it have to have a folding stock, or a hinged top cover, or other features to qualify?

How would you all define the term Krink?

No such thing, technically... purely slang for AKSUs.
SECDEF Leon E. Panetta said Wednesday [02 FEB 12] that American forces would step back from a combat role there [Afghanistan] as early as mid-2013.

Yes, I know that the word itself has no meaning and technically it doesn’t refer to any particular gun, but when we refer to Krinks we all have something in mind. What are the boundaries of what can be included in that group of guns we consider to be Krinks?

Do you feel it has to be a specific model like a Yugo M92, an AKS74U etc., or is it more general, and any short barreled AK with a stubby gas system and a folding stock can take the nickname?

If I stick a folder on my Draco? It is still a Draco and not a Krinkov.

I think you could consider it both if you wanted to. The purists will say it's just a Draco though.

If you were to purchase a krinkov top cover or krinkov handguards they wouldn't fit so I would say no.

I am pretty sure in russian they have a nick name for them...suchka (sp?), which translates roughly to little bitc#.

Well if you install a new RSB then sure but you won't get one of those on a factory draco.
