That is a nice job Travis.
I like the look trying to do mine in Laminated wood which I bought from K-var stripping the finish and will apply the Red stain, but don't think it will look like that. Not messing with the gun finish. Again great job |

Nice job with the Maadi buttstock, I tried modifying one of my Maadi thumbholes with a Sawzall.
Got into the cleaning kit spring, what a f ing mess that was. |

Great looking rifles! How hard is it to change the rear stock on a Maddi? Whats the best place online for aftermarket stocks?

Nice job!!!! Where did you get the flag? That's interesting too. |
Thanks travis I got the flag in Iraq on my last tour there as well as the AK chest rig. It is a local made affair, that is of very heavy construction of nylon on a heavy vinyl backing that can be found on any of the local markets and at the bazaars for not very much. It is functional but not very comfortable. The chest rig cost me around $20 and I actually used it for a very short while after some asshat stole my HSGI Wasatch. That is untill I could get a replacement that came from Australia thanks to a good friend. I just need to find out how to contact ZRecto now so he can do me a set of furniture like yours to finish it off.

I'm IM'ing you Z-rectos email.

Thanks so much. Travis I really appreciate it a lot.

Kevin can refinish your set to match. He does a phenomanal job at that. I think you'd appreciate that more than an Ironwood set. Kevin is working on a russian set for me right now for my new Maadi Arm I picked up last month.
That might be an option also Travis, However at the minimum i want a trapdoor stock and I think I may just end up buying one as mine is not set up this way.
