Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Dragunov SVD stock configurations.

So looking at pictures of in the field Russian Dragunov's I see the following configurations.

Wood buttstock with wood forend
Wood buttstock with Polymer/plastic forend


I don't really see any in field configurations using the polymer buttstocks. Were they widely used in the field?

They are modern issue now but consider that they had roughly 30 years of wide scale production with the laminate stocks and far less production with the polymer
Polymer is definitely in the field but not as many photos of it as the combloc era of laminate
