I would keep the drum in the gun, and keep the gun in hand. Then get custom mag pouches made for the 10rd mags. I think 5rd mags would carry better though, kinda like the 20rd 308 mags compared to the 30rd mags.

249 SAW 200 round box pouches fit 20 round MD Arms and Pro-Mag (amazingly, the one product they make that works well) Saiga drums reasonably well. They'd probably fit Veper drums as well, and it's not a lot of money to find out if they do.

No direct experience, but The Vest Guy always comes up as the go-to for Saiga/Vepr box magazine pouches on Saigaforums etc. Most everything else I see is the competition-style skeleton clips and clamps for guys who run Saigas or Vepr's as their 12ga for 3-Gun matches. |

I also use the HSG Taco for carrying VEPR 12 mags for 3-gun. They have an extra-long that holds well.

might try a molle sustainment pouch or molle radio pouch, The sustainment pouch has a lid with fastex buckle to keep it secure and dry.
These are pretty cheap to find. Just a thought. |

Mag pouches designed to carry 3 AR/AK mags work well for stick magazines. I've been using something like this for years doing 3 gun competitions.
