The only non factory part is the hand guard, and maybe the brake/suppressor. KVAR offered the HG as an accessory -- a good one at that. There are/were versions with the stock. 700 sounds like a decent price to me.

$700 isn't horrible, but for $100 more you can pick up a non-folding VEPR-12....and for $300 more a folder. Not trying to pee in your cheerios. Enjoy it!

Someone flagged this discussion as a price check thread which is not allowed in the technical forums. Since this thread is about a rifle already purchased and the OP is not asking about the price of the gun, only the gun itself, this thread is not prohibited. Just an FYI.

I was leaning to the Vepr last year, then the stocks started to appear for sale w/o the folder. So I lost interest. I picked this Saiga b/c of the name and aftermarket support. |
