Picked up my VEPR 12 yesterday from Classic out of the recent batch. $950 shipped so a bit of a premium over earlier in the year at $800 but who knows when if ever the ban will be lifted so I jumped. I will say it was the fastest Classic has ever been in completing an order, so kudos to them. The ad said it was the fixed tubular model but it is indeed the folder with a small tack weld. Built very well as most of you know and should be worth it.

I received a call from CFS last week wanting to know if I still wanted my Vepr-12, that's been on backorder since around June, but were unsure if those that they were receiving would have all the folding stock mechanism or not. I told her to call me back when they know more about the Vepr's they were receiving. Well earlier this week they called me back and said that the small batch that they received had all the folding mechanism included with free shipping and an attractive price for waiting so long...it was a no-brainer and it should be arriving at the FFL soon.

My Vepr-12 came in from CFS and I was able to fondle it quickly but have a question. Where is the weld located that locks the stock to the open position as I didn't see it? I just had a quick look at it and had to leave it at the FFL so I'm just a little curious on the weld location. Thanks.

The weld on mine was located on the underside of the receiver. It was very small, only about 3/16" long.

Its a very tiny weld, dont cut too deep. Here is a helpful thread- http://vepr.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=739 |

Got my Csspecs mags from the second batch the other day.
Had to do a fair amount of fitting with them. They locked in the magwell right out of the box, but they were tighter than tight going in and coming out. Now they pop in with minimal effort and drop free effortlessly, just surprised how much metal I had to take off the lug of the mags, it was quite a bit. Just kept filing until I was happy, which took a while. Quite satisfied with the end result. |

I've come across a number of the foldable Vepr 12's not too long ago with a washer something like that since the stock launch attach. Its finish welded so you can't move the attach.
Obviously dremel the particular weld, eliminate the machine as well as the attach operates. |

How do you like that green laser refractor thing? Expensive but is it worth it?

None. I use buckshot exclusively, since this is a defensive shotgun. So I can't speak to its reliability with Winchester low-brass pigeon loads.
I've emptied quite a few mags rapid-fire, and never had a problem. |

Anyone made an sbs yet? I'm not ready to cut mine. Saiga people what do you think?
