Yeah, kinda went quiet huh. The proposed single stack wasn't doing it for me though. Too damn long. And the cost of the factory 5'ers is well ridiculous. Almost has me thinking "modify it to take Dragunov" mags. Can be done.

I'm waiting for the VEPRs to start coming in with a straight cut receiver. The problem with modifying the VEPR to take SVD mags is that the mags themselves need to be modified. I don't trust a system where magazines need to be modified for a specific rifle. I might have to consider the .308 model, but I'm already invested in 54R and I don't like the .308 prices. I'm not sure why MOLOT doesn't produce a double stack 20+ round capable VEPR in 7.62x54R. |
