I see. I had to go back to the original photos. Doesn't look like Russian/European handwriting to me, but I could be wrong. Might have been done by the importer. Or the pawn shop. I'm pretty sure if they came with a scope, it was a genuine PSO-1.

As far as the SVDS, I was thinking about the SVDK. Unfortunately, I don't think your Tigr is any more special than the next. I wouldn't get carried away. It's used, and it's a shooter. Not really collectible. Did it come with the original box, manual, and accessories?

I understand that that this Tiger is not any more special then the next, I am just trying to understand everything about them (even though I personally consider any dragunov to be special in this country, considering the anti-individual rights Republicans and Democrats). I know it is used and not ultra collectible like a bunch of paper weights that are never used like real rifles (each to his own, because when I am dead I can't take it with me like an Egyptian Pharaoh). Unfortunately, it only came with the optic and 1 mag but that is okay considering the "low" price I got it for.

He's just busting your ballz. Most guys who don't own a Tigr or NDM, let alone a KBI would give their left nut for one, and those who do own an example of one of these usually ask kidney prices for them if & when they do decide to sell them. So there can be a bit of jealousy out there. You've got a fine rifle there and your off to a good start. As mentioned earlier though, the GR your looking at is a bit high, you should contact Oleg on GB as he can get them from time to time for a bit less.

Also, your 1200M site leaf is for a SVDS, there are subtle differences in the numbers. Oleg/FSU, Oleg on GB and Dmitry on GB have been getting those now in place of the older style. I would check the latter two to see if they can help assist you in finding the other style. Same white dials, just a different style numbers.
