they're not exactly the same, the PSL is more like an AK-47 on steriods, and can actually interchange some parts with AK-47's, True Dragunovs have a much different parts
PSL vs. Tigr Dragunov

THEY ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE SAME, REALLY. THEY ONLY LOOK ALIKE AND SEVERAL COMPANIES STARTED TO ADVERTISE "DRAGUNOV'S" FOR SALE WHEN THEY WERE SELLING ROMAK 3 / PSL. PEOPLE THEN SAW THE ADDS AND CALLED THE PSL A DRAGUNOV. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY FOR SALE BUT I THINK A REAL SOVIET DRAGUNOV SELLS FOR BIG BUCKS WHEREAS THE ROMAINAIN VAREINT ROMAK / PSL IS DIME A DOZEN.

Here is my Romy SAR1, I added the side folder about 2 years ago.

I love the way it handles and storage is compact.

I hang it on the inside of my safe on a hook.

My AIM GP-WASR with UTG quad-rail.  Note my pressure switch is not secured yet.

Haven't taken her to the range yet, but fired off about 10 rounds off the back deck and she worked just fine!

Waiting for my telescoping buttstock to arrive.

That looks great, If I had seen that a couple years ago I might have copied it!

Heres the one I made for my cousin a while back.

The first two pictures are the "prototype". The final version was carved from Baltic birch.

Heres a picture of my 2002 SAR-2 with a grip I carved, its a bit chunkier, fills the hand better.

Picture slightly photoshopped to remove ugly background and to compensate for cheap crappy camera.

Here's a pic of my Romanian AK47 that I bought after I returned from my 2nd tour from Iraq. I've always been racist towards the AK47 but after owning one while in Iraq and putting it through my own personal torture tests, I had to get one for myself.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v692/fokis49/P1010016.jpg

The AK I'm shooting below is a Tabuk AK, which is a pretty cheapy model that most of the Iraqis we find have. If you notice also there isn't any muzzle break on the weapon either. Thats because the Iraqi we confescated it from had a poorly made sound suppressor mounted on it.

Nicely done.  Is the butt stock on the bottom rifle a Romy stock or something else.  If something else, what?

Thanks

It came with the matching numbers parts kit from Copes, so I'm inclined to say it is a Romanian.  I doubt it's original to the kit, though, because of the shape and the fact it had a much nicer finish on it than the other wood.

It has the number 15 punched or carved into it, you can barely see it in the center of the stock, just before the black stripe.  None of the other Romanian rifles from the build party had a similar marking.  I don't know if that's a clue as to where it came from.

My new GP WASR 10, I already polished the bolt.  Put 120 rounds through it, bolt only hung up on the first round and never did it again.  Very pleased with it thus far.
