THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I found a really nice PSL rifle locally. The only problem was that the guy refinished the stock with a dark walnut. I want to remove the stain and re-stain to something more original.

I was able to remove a lot of it using the Formby's Conditioning Furniture Refinisher. Because it is so dark, I couldnt get it all off. I was thinking about bleaching the stock and then prep for a Minwax Gunstock color.

I am having a hard time removing this bushing. Should I just leave it in? I am worried about it rusting.

What do you guys think?

I would leave it as is with a coat of oil applied. Or cold blue it and oil it. I wouldn't use Birchwood cold blue as I find it too prone to rust.

Looks like they are put together in the stock and flared or something. I'd leave it in place.
