I have a PSL that was assembled from a matching new parts kit utilizing a Nodak Spud receiver. The rifle was built by an experienced builder. I zeroed the rifle at 25yards using Wolf 148 FMJ ammunition and got a 1"1/2 group.(I have not shot in years) I then attempted to hit a 3'x5"plate at 500 yards plate using the iron sights set on 500 Meters holding at the base of the target and could not even detect a bullet strike anywhere near the target. I engaged and hit the same target using: a Imbel FAL with FN surplus ball, DOU/Yugo K98 using 1955 Yugo Surplus Ball,and a 1898 Krag using Remington Commercial. Has anyone else experienced problems with the Wolf 148 FMJ in their PSLs at longer ranges? Thanks for your input.

Wolf sells two 148gr versions...the standard black box (basically surplus ammo except it has non corrosive primers) and the Gold (made by Privi with brass cases and boxer primers)––-likely the best commercial LB you'll find. However, the Gold won't turn a 4 moa shooter into a sub-moa shooter.
