Classic Arm's got them too, though a bit more than JGsales. I just ordered one from them the other day and can't really recommend them, but here you go: AES-10B

A lot of people are having trouble with them lately according to a thread on this site, and personally I am not too impressed with their service. I will find that thread for you.

Century not showing them available to dealers. Looks like I may have gotten the last one from J&G.

Sure you can order guns from Century I do it all the time just send your local gun dealer's FFL to them. They'll set up the account for your dealer and you can use their FFL to transfer guns for you from Century.

A local dealer has 4 in stock. I looked over two of them and one is straight and the other...not so much. Barrel is obviously chrome-lined also. Straight one is marked at $570 + tax and he isn't known to dicker but that seems reasonable in comparison to online prices + shipping + transfer fee.

Is there a bipod that is "correct" for these? It seems I've read of two variations and one of them doesn't work so well.

These seem like something that a person's going to kick themselves over if they don't pick one up when reasonably priced so any info would be appreciated.

The bi-pods are correct for a Romanian RPK, but not a soviet RPK. If you want a Soviet clone you will need to find a 13.5 inch, non-adjustable bi-pod. The ones with the AES-10B are 11.5 inches.

The bipods that come on Century AES10b RPK's are from RPD's. They are not or have never been issued on an RPK other than from Century. Romanian RPK's are correct with either an andjustable or the fixed full length bipod.

I think the bipods are for the PKM, not the RPD or RPK. It works but it's short.

Yes that is correct, they are the PKM quick-detachable ones. Cool, but not authentic.

I have an AES10B from Classic Arms with the heavy barrel and fixed length bipod and have no issues whatsoever with the gun or Classic Arms. They were great and helped with finding me the year I wanted. Very accommodating.

Great gun too!
