Not sure how you got a Tapco mag to wobble. They have virtually no wobble in my guns. The European steel mags fit slightly looser.

That's my plan for my M10 in 5.45x39. Looks like I could get it to 12.5" or so, which is AK-105 length.

I dropped the deposit today and pick it up next Wednesday. Have seen some pretty good reviews overall and am looking forward to picking it up. It is my first AK and am ready to join the club.

Will post a follow up once I get the chance to take it to the range.

I looked at one of these today (full stock non-folder), and I find the quality to be a bit better than most WASR rifles. At $699 I thought it was a tad expensive though, had it been 75 to a hundred bucks less I would have brought it home. (Atlantic Firearms lists them at $599) Price was probably inflated due to all the panic right now.
A nice feature of these rifles is the RPK style rear sight, which is adjustable for windage.

Optics compatibility. The MI rails allow you to use a US palm topcover, which gives you co-witness with the AK iron sights. The MI rail is also rather higher quality than the M+M, and if you're using the AK-SS, can let you shed a few ounces by not going full quad.

One thing bumming me is that US PALM mags don't fit. They seem to be a bit too big. Shame. Guess I'll look at Tapco for polymer.

I just picked mine up from the FFL today.

I can't get the Tapco Waffle mags I bought from CTD to lock in either. None of the three new mags will lock. The smooth sided Tapco that came with it had a little issue the first couple of times, but now pops in/out fine. Of course the steel Romanian mag I had on had snaps in and out flawlessly. It has seen plenty of wear!

Looks like I will have to mod the waffle mags a bit. Anyone else having trouble with the polymer mags?

BTW the sight was fine, no cant.

I had a hard time with a waffle mag. It was tight at first but with some mag changes it smoothed out and became perfect. Out of 7steel mags I bought I had to file the locking tab on one.

I sanded the locking tabs on the new tapcos also. They work fine now too.

Took it to the range today. Sighted in the iron sights first, then mounted a Truglo 30MM red dot on the rail. All mags fed flawlessly after the mods. Put about 100 rounds of Tula 122 gr HP through without one single fail. I was getting about 3-3.5 MOA at 100 yds repeatedly. Not bad with a 5 MOA cheapo $40 red dot. I banged the 18x18 (or maybe 16x16 I did not go out to it) 200 yd steel plate at the range 36 out of 40. May not impress the match shooters, but I thought was pretty good considering the Red dot almost completely covered the plate at that range.

All in all, I am quite impressed with this weapon. It is becoming my favorite especially since M855 is running around 50 cents a round, and the Tula is about 27 cents! A couple of my ARs are going to get jealous.

I am interested to see what it can do with a 4-12x42 Vortex. I am confident I can shrink that MOA with a better optic. We shall see...

Thanks for everyone's comments on this gun, you all talked me into one without even knowing :)

I've had this gun for about a month now. Got it from Budsgunshop.com for $589.

Just wanted to add that the Tapco 30rd waffle mags work great if you just take a file to the lock tab on them a little. Nice and positive lock and no wobble.

Also, I really didn't like the stock that came with it. Too short. Got a Tapco Intrafuse AR-15 collapsing stock for $45, and it is a WORLD of better on how the rifle fits my shoulder and length.

Last, got a top rail angle L that mounts to the side reciever rail, and put a 4x32 UTG Long Eye relief scope on it. I still need to sight it in.

Love how this gun shoots (though it isn't NEARLY as accurate as my M&P AR15 sport from S&W). We'll see how it does when I can finally get the scope sighted in.

I got my president "O" celebration M10-762 from BudsGunShop today. Impressive AK to say the least since I didn't have one in the safe. The OP sold me on this AK, and so far I'm happy. Range time this weekend. Will report later.

i strictly run TULAMMO in my AR and AK and they both eat it like candy. My M10 has been to the range once, about 60 rounds, no hiccups. As for 25 yard accuracy, it was pretty decent (i use cheap ammo too, so that hurts a tad, but not too much at 25). It was low and right from factory but with a little tweaking its "dead on".... for an AK. This is my first AK and i'm not the best shot either, but the groupings were decent.

The reason I use TULAMMO from walmart is because its 4.95/box of 20, cheapest non corrosive you'll find anywhere. Its dirty, but i've had 0 malfunctions of any kind, and i use it in pistols as well. At least 700 rounds, 0 problems. Other people will say its shit and hiccups all the time. not here!

Randomly wrapped the side folder in paracord, added the cheek rest, and modified the safety to hold the bolt open.

Got mine in a bundle with several Tapco mags. They seem to fit very snug and do lock. Haven't gotten a chance to take it out yet as I went out of town last week. Fit and finish on this thing pretty much rivals any other AK I've overlooked.

I, too, purchased one in celebration of the Big O's extended reign of terror...
