THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Shooting characteristics (Accuracy and Reliability) - 4.5/5 - Though I only put 20 rounds through it, the weapon functioned flawlessly with the stock promag it came with. The Tapco G2 trigger it is fitted with stock was crisp and short. Before I shot the rifle I cleaned it and lubed it - I had to no issues what so ever on the range. I would put this weapon against any other stamped AK in the areas of accuracy and reliability. Fit and Finish - 3.5/5 - The weapon wears a black finish that seems to scratch easily. There were some scratches on it right out of the box. Also the quad rail seems to canted slightly when you are looking down the sights. The sights however fit perfectly. There was slight mag wobble with the stock Promag but barely any with steel mags I bought. If the rail was straight and the weapon wore a tougher finish, I would rate 5/5. Honestly though, the fit and finish doesn't bother me too much. This is an AK, not a safe queen. This weapon is designed to be dragged through the mud and come out breathing fire. If this was an AR or a hunting rifle, I would be pissed at the F&F and probably rate 2/5; luckily though, it's not. Value - 5/5 - I know of no other AK type rifle that you can get from the factory with this many features and perks. Quad rail, Tapco G2 Trigger, Tapco Brake, Tapco Stock, Hogue Grips, RPK sights, Chromed barrel and gastube. C'mon this gun is a hell of a value, Total score = 4.3

I think one of these with the Tech-Sights AK rear sight would be an awesome irons only rifle. It may have Romanian ugly, but it also seems to have Romanian value and
reliability. A great poor man's Galil. |

I dont know about the techsights. I'm not a fan of altering the takedown of one's rifle. I actually mounted an Aimpoint Comp M2 to the quad rail today. Gotta zero it tomorrow.

I personally favor Mojo sights. Even though it doesn't increase sight radius, it is a much more solid mount that won't get knocked around plus is a much lower profile.

I have one myself, and my only beef is with the Tapco wobbly pos mag, and the fit and finish of mine. The front sight was slightly canted but nat bad. Overall love the rifle.

I just picked up a m10 today, nice rifle for the money. The OP is dead on with his evaluation. I'll try to put 500rds thru it this weekend and see if it shoots any better than my WASRs.

Have had mine for around 6-7 months now 500+ rounds down it with NO malfunctions at all! Wasn't a fan of the FH so I put a tapco bird cage on it..
No mag wobble. Didn't care about fnf I got mine new unfired with 3 mags, red dot, and 300 rds.. $475.00 Can't beat it. G2 trigger is a+. I think the only thing I might add is a AR type stock.. This gun is GTG. |

These are a good value because it's completely new, assembled by the Romanians, and so far built right.
Mine runs great. Of course I changed all the furniture....almost everyone changes the furniture on their rifles be it an AK or AR. |

Are the mag wells "hogged" out, that is, do they begin life as single stacks?
In any case, what mags seem to fit the best in the M10? Thanks everyone |

As the OP said. As to your other question, I'm very, very new to AK's. That being said, I have 3 Bulgarian (non-waffle) mags as well as some unknown brand of polymer mag. All 4 fit perfect with nearly zero wobble. That's good enough for me. |

Thanks everyone The mag wells are stamped out by machine and not by hand with a dremmel so the magwellz are all cut the same. Instead of dimples they have welded shims inside the magwell to keep the mags tight. The benefit to these rifles is the features versus price. You are getting a hammer forged chrome lined barrel, rail forensic, g2 trigger, etc all for the price of a standard wasr. No its not a $1200 arsenal but it sure as hell shoots like one. |

Can anyone confirm if the magwells are dremeled or are stamped?
Has anyone used chinese or Eastern bloc steel mags? |

I have one of these as well. I replaced the quad rail with a MI so I could use my Aimpoint Micro T1, and I installed a tapco m4 stock tube and a magpul stock I had sitting around. Runs like a champ! If you want a wasr but don't want to gamble with the century crap then this is a good choice I think.

I love mine. Bulgarian waffle and chugo mags lock on solid. The waffle mag did stick at first but did wear in after about ten mag changes. The chugo mags form aimsurplus fit great but one out of 7 had to have the rear tab filed down. Zero mag wobblewith either type. The flash hider was a bitch to get off and the finish sucks. Other than that it has been a solid rifle. I had seen somewhere that the mag well is opened up on a CNC machine.
