I just sold a NHM-91, but my curiosity got the best of me.  I tend to recall seeing some on GB throughout the years that came with essentially the gun and no furniture.  I was just wondering if that was common or not?



The reason I ask, is because when I took this rifle in a trade:





It had this abomination of a furniture set on it:





It had a bakelite upper hand guard, a MAK-90 lower hand guard, a home made buttstock, and a brown pistol grip of unknown origin.  



Anyway, I was just wondering if some of these Ontario CA NHM-91 imports made it out without furniture or something?

the -91 imported into the country came with a thumbhole stock and a "potbelly" lower hand guard.

whoever owned it before you,  pieced and parts the furniture, Chinese AK/MAK lower hand guard, Yugo buttstock,  upper hand guard ?

That was one true "Bubba" gun, lol.  It did have the Chinese fire control group in it though, or some variant of one.  I didn't realize the hammer was so drastically different for the NHM-91 compared to the MAK-90s until I did some research on it.
