i found an egyptian maadi ak in my local gun shop the other day. It has the chinese bakelite furniture installed on it. It does have the cleaning kit in the folding stock. I went down today and was going to make an offer on the furniture though on close inspection id would have to rivet into my rifle and i decided i didnt want to do that. They told me it would go up on gunbroker friday or saturday if  the rifle didnt sell by then. They are currently asking 1100 for it. If someone on here is interested in it ill post a link to it when it goes up. I dont think it will sell around here for what their asking.

Yup looks just like that, has the magazine too. But its an Egyptian ak hence my reluctance to buy it. Im happy with the brand new chinese ak i already have and really im not interested in an egyptian with chinese furniture. But i figured someone on here might be so i figured i would spread the word if it was requested. Im not going to buy it, for 1100 i want a bullpup rifle not another ak

Those are Chinese parts kits assembled by the Century monkeys on Maadi receivers. I would pass on it if it is.

no its not a chinese parts kit, i would know, but i didnt pay attention as to what egyption gun it was as i was only interested in the furnature, i will look this weekend though.

If it's a preban Maadi imported by Steyr, then yes. If it's a post ban imported by AAC Intrac, $1100 is too much $.  GARY
