Mak 90 in 5.56 - Page 1

I just bought one of these. First one I personally have seen in 5.56. It has threaded barrel Norinco Star, triangle 66. and very crude MAK90 marking. does not say sporter

Are there many of these around? Any history?

Yeah, I think they started bringing them here in 1990. The official name is Norinco type 84S

They are fairly common,only thing is the mags are expensive and hard to come by

+1. The Polytech and Norinco mags do not interchange.

Have used Promag Pol-A1 in both.

Theres one at a local store selling for $2400, no included mags, comes with 500rds of Norinco yellow box 556. I would get it if it were much cheaper...
