It's the 1990-1994 version of the 84-s which means they made it less dangerous by lathing off the muzzle threads, grinding off the bayonet lug, removing the pistol grip and putting on a butt hole stock.

This obviously helped make the US a safer place. How many people have been killed by a bayonet on a Chinese rifle since they started grinding off the bayo-lugs?

If you put on standard furniture like a pistol grip, you legally have to be mindful of sec. 922 compliance.
