Just picked up a ndm86 in 308 that the firing pin hasn't been modified.

Thinking about getting it modified just for safety reasons.

Is there reputable company out there that can do the job properly or some detailed specs on how to do?

And NO I won't send it to CDNN for there hack of a conversion either.

Your best bet may be to get one of the spring-loaded firing pins (US made), that were selling on Gunbroker, for the Tigers, shorten it to match the NDM length, and have the bolt machined to fit, a decent smith of your choice.

Just ckd GB. Seem to be gone. There was a seller on AKFiles, don't know if he still has any.

Bill at P-A Distributing used to be the go-to guy that'd do the mod to the FP, but I'm not sure if he's still doing it these days. Probably wouldn't hurt to send an email and inquire about it.
