Its really hard to verify. All of the Chicom's I have purchased that were listed as Unfired really looked Unfired. The bore should be bright just like it left the factory. Also the end of the barrel should be just as shiny. The end of the gas piston should have absolutely no carbon on it at all. You can also stick your finger in the gas tube and see what comes out. It should be a bit dusty/dirty but should not have thick black carbon. Also look for any signs of it being fired in the receiver itself. I guess someone could really work hard to get the gun to look Unfired but this would take some work depending on the round count. If you have doubts point them out to the seller. If you are buying online you really just have to take their word for it.
