I'd buy that for $550. If I could find a new 5.56mm receiver I would even buy the parts you strip off the receiver and build a postban with them.

Otherwise, I'd def give you $500 for the parts kit. I think someone will scoop that up fast. But thanks! |

You are not supposed to remove the front trunnion from the receiver as that is the registered part of the firearm. Unless of course you cut up the receiver. The US made receivers have the serial number on them, but the factory guns had the serial number on the trunnion, so therefore you could not remove the trunnion without destroying the receiver.

Technically he is correct. I would delete your post/thread just to cover your ass. Without the trunnion on there how can you prove the receiver is pre 94? You can't, and wouldn't want to have to go there.

You can't, and wouldn't want to have to go there. It says Norinco, Made in china and the original importer on it. Chinese AKs were only imported prior to 1994, actually stopped in 93 so all Norinco products are pre-ban (1994). How ever there are a few Uzis that were allowed to be imported after the fed AWB In 94 but I don't know much about those firearms. I have seen a few Krinks built on Chinese receivers that use all the original AK-74 parts on the Chinese receiver. It's just like the Chinese M-14 clones, there is no paper proof or documentation saying they are pre ban other than the 1993 cut off. |

You're not supposed to remove the trunnion of an imported receiver if the serial number is on the trunnion. You've "defaced a firearm's serial number" in the eyes of the ATF. |
