Prepare to shell out about $350 for a complete front sight base with folding bayonet assembly...if you find one.
They pop up rather infrequently but when they do, they're expensive. |

I don't think it would be worth less doing that, but it might not be worth any more that it is now and you will have spent $350 just for the part to do it. You'll take a 1200-1400 gun, and make it a 1200-1400 gun with $350 + into it. Plus time or labor costs depending on if you do it yourself or have a smith. I'd leave it original. If you want a spike bayonet, sell it and buy one already installed. |

In general spikers are polytech not 56s norincos. Anyone you may sell to in the future who is willing to spent that kind of money will question it's authenticity and rightly so. Sell yours buy another look around. I seen three pre bans on arms list last week with killer prices.
