THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT The underfolder he claims is a preban. It is kind rough with some light pitting over the entire rifle and there is a wobble on the underfolder. Also I cant seem to figure out how you would attach a bayonet either. He wants $500 for this one. Again good price? And who would you recommend to refinish it and look at the wobble? And what would it cost to do it? Any help would be appreciated. |

The prices are decent on both. Just be sure what you are buying.
Easiest on the underfold is make sure there are no markings that say NHM or MAK anywhere. Research the net for actual photos, not sketches of Chinese Factory markings and compare the proof and model on the gun...Beware of Fakes! Check for signs of grinding on the receiver...Prebans should have NONE! Also, all preban 56s that I've ever heard of came with threaded barrels and boyonette lug. If the lug has been ground off or the thread protector/ muzzle break has been soldered or welded, you should notice. As far as the stock...the underfolder could have been added to a fixed stock preban if it has all of the before mentioned features...or to a NHM/ MAK if not. Just make sure it is 922r compliant if it's the latter. Make sure there is a folder rear trunion on the inside rear and not just using the side of the receiver. I hate that he got laid off, but you need to protect yourself. If you're unsure, offer less to give yourself a cushion and/or do as much google research for Chinese AK and MAKS as you can! The info is out there! Good luck! dfa |

If it is a post ban Norinco UF model 56S-1, it should have a 1 added in front of the model number: "1 56S-1"
The post ban fixed wood stocks have a 7 added in front and back of the model number: 7 56S 7 |

If you get the NHM91 and want the bipod that came with it originally, I will donate mine for the cost of shipping.
