Just purchased my first AK. AMD65.

I'm looking to swap out the stock to make it more comfortable for the shooter. I've noticed a lot of people have put the riser from AMD65tech or an adapter foran AR stock. I'm thinking about the Magpul AK stock (MAG616).

I'm still googling but just wondering if anyone has any experience installing (if possible) the stock on an AMD65, and if I need any additional hardware.

So first, it looks like that is a fixed stock (not what I want). Second, apparently it's a lot of work to convert to a fixed on an AMD65. So, skipping that.

Any recommendations on replacement stocks for the AMD65's?

AMD65Tech replacement stock

Bumpski (fostech) adapter plus whatever ACE pattern stock you like

Krebs adapter plus whatever ACE pattern stock you like.

Take to gunsmith and replace rear trunnion with whatever you like.

That's pretty much it.
