I have a few of those that came with the 20 round AK mag deals from Centerfire.
They're well made, but like most Comblock/former-Comblock mag and ammo pouches, with the double closure flaps and buckles they seem to be more designed around the fear soldiers would lose their ammo, then worried they'd be able to get at their ammo if actual combat broke out. 
I've considered cutting them up a bit and re-doing them with modern fastex type buckles. |

Mostly posted it because some guys here like to collect AK paraphernalia, for displays, and pics and such. I'm piecing together and East German setup, and I don't even collect surplus. Figured I'd hang it up or something, when it's done. (don't have an E. German AK either, I just think the rain pattern is cool) |

The E. German mag pouch can also be a perfect drum mag pouch by ripping the seam between the two 'L'-shaped dividers. You turn it inside-out and rip the seam with an Exacto or sharp box-cutter. Then the two dividers just fold back out of the way.
